Our goal

Effective date: 2026-07-04.

Little Sprouts wants every visitor to be able to read this site, navigate it, and request a tour, whatever tools they browse with. Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C.

Measures on this website

Text and background colors meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios, every interactive element shows a visible focus outline, and every image carries alt text describing its content.

Each page has one h1 with headings in order below it, the navigation and all forms work by keyboard alone, and a skip to content link is the first focusable element on every page.

Known limits

The demo version of this site uses placeholder images: SVG stand-ins for photographs of the rooms and outdoor space. Their alt text describes what each final photo will show, but the placeholder images themselves carry little visual detail. They will be replaced with photographs, each with specific alt text, before launch.

Accessibility at our center

The center at 1820 Maple Grove Ave, Portland, OR 97202 has a step-free entry from the parking lot, 2 accessible parking spots near the door, and single-level rooms throughout. If you need particular accommodations for a tour, call the office ahead at (503) 555-0180 and we will plan for them.
